Welcome to Hachidorisou Shikoku
Hello and welcome to Hachidorisou. We are a small preservation kennel on the east coast of the United States. We are dedicated to protecting and preserving Shikoku Ken for future generations.
We have been working with Shikoku for almost 11 years and are proud to be a registered NIPPO kennel. All of our dogs are health tested OFA Hips, Elbows, Patella, Thyroid, Cardiac, Dentition, and Spine. Dogs also get ofa eye certifications done, Pennhip through AIS, and have genetic testing through Embark and UC Davis VGL.
We have established a lot of firsts for Shikoku here in the states, including health testing over 35 Shikoku both imports and US bred dogs as well as testing 25 dogs to date by Pennhip. We are constantly following new developments in Shikoku health and research to stay up to date on potential new concerns or tests available.
We have a few permanent family residences and we tend to migrate between Virginia, West Virginia, and South Carolina. We only have 4 dogs living with us at any given time. We own and co-own many Shikoku all over the US and they will be listed on our website. We couldn't do this without the support of such amazing guardian homes.
All Shikoku in Guardian homes do return here or travel with us for completed health testing, updated testing, showing, and breeding (if all goes well) before returning to their families.
